PDF files generated automatically via the export service can now be signed with an electronic signature or a certificate. The factoring company decides whether PDF files will be generated with a signature, i.e. this cannot be modified in the user settings.
Signing a PDF file ensures its credibility and authenticity of its author. The electronic signature becomes a part of the PDF file. If a document is changed after it is signed the signature becomes invalid. The PDF file is thus protected from unauthorized changes. In terms of Czech legislature, the electronic signature is on the same level as an actual signature carried out by hand on paper. For this reason, a generated PDF file can be used as proof in any disputes that may arise.
It is possible that when a signed PDF file is first opened the browser will notify you of the fact that it does not consider the certificate to be trustworthy. It is therefore necessary to add it to trustworthy certificates.
